Clash Of Lords 2 Strategy 101

Clash of Lords 2 strategy launched by IGG.com is one of the most popular and best strategy games. Unlike the Clash of lord which was mainly on the lines of Clash of Clans, CLASH OF LORDS 2 gives a twist to the series by its card-battling games which add all the more fun to the game series.

At times, the games become difficult and it is not very facile, but it is very easy to power up the game. Before starting off to play the game the person should be well versed with the currency, the resources, heroes and the type of battles. There are a few easy things to be kept in mind while playing which would make gaming easy and fun for you.

In this game there are two types of currencies, Gold and gems. Gems speed up the tasks in the game whereas gold is used for construction and upgrading purpose. When you login everyday into the game, there are login rewards available in the form of gems that you get. You also get these free gems after every achievement that you make. Gems can also be earned by in-app purchases and major ways to acquire gold is from mines and looting enemies.

To earn the bigger card rewards, you can go back and play all the levels over and over again. You get bonuses or cards when you hit three stars on a single player. Go back and fight all the easy battles in the best way possible so that you can load the card points as experience point fodder.

So my main battle team is skull mage lv.145, pounder lv 145, pan goli lv. 162, dark rider lv 163, and arctic lord lv. 150. My main concern is lords league, why is it so much harder to get one star out of the battle than resource raids? Maybe I’m missing something, but my team is pretty good, and I usually never attack anyone that has higher lords level than I do. What would be the best set up to get past hero defenses when in lords league?

First of all: get rid of skull mage. You will need someone who does more damage. I highly recommend either Ambrosia or Chiron. They both do a ton of damage. Ambrosia also heals with her skill (retribution) as well as the aoe damage it does. Chiron, of course spawns mutiple clones of himself which, at mid levels, around 13 and above, will do as much damage as the main Chiron.
You absolutely MUST evolve your main heroes above the level of Cancer. Once you begin challenging players above about lvl 60, you will begin to see more heroes evolved to that level and far beyond. You will stand no chance against heroes built that way.
As far as the actual line up, I studied the set up of the top 100 players in the game and found that with only, maybe 10 excrptions, they all have: Ambrosia, Pan Goli and Great Sage. Others that show up are Enchantress, Dark Rider, Chiron and landslide. Sometimes you will see a few other heroes, but those seven are in well over 90% of the top line ups on the game. I use Great Sage, Ambrosia, Chiron, landslide, Dark Rider, Pam goli, and/or Arctic Lord.

Hi there, I would better happy to get your informed view on my (Arena) team. I started to build my team around chiron, to leverage the sharpshooting boost it gives. My two tanks are:
    – artic lord lvl 110, skill 6, mercenaries lvl 20
    – savage chief lvl 103, skill 1, mercenaries lvl 20
    My sharpshooters:
    – chiron lvl 120, skill 12, mercenaries lvl 21
    – pyro pete lvl 88, skill 7, mercenaries lvl 18
    – blitz lvl 93, skill 8, mercenaries lvl 19

I have done some lucky hiring yesterday, and got blockhead, abyss demon and pan goli. I have levelled pan goli to 90, skill 6, merc 14 because he’s so overpowered. Question is, is there a way to make my current team better with him? Should I give up on blitz or pyro to include him in my team?
Also should I get rid of savage (and thus waste the souls invested) to use blockhead or abyss instead?

Thanks in advance for your time!

      Hi Skylar,

Have you checked if the hero you want to be fused is used in the campaign clash? If so you’ll need to end the campaign clash in-order to fuse the hero. If that does not work please get back to me, but I am 100% positive it is for that reason.

I got problems on leveling up my heroes since green heroes (that oftenly shows up in treasures) are somehow not enough for high leveled heroes (especially the orange heroes) how can i fasten up on leveling my heroes? Another question is, is that spending gems for hiring heroes or chance of getting orange heroes, worth it spending gems on or rather collect my gems to purchase builders?

      Hi Skylar,

I suggest having atleast 4 builders available before you start using gems on heroes. Since you’ll need to defend your town by upgrading it as fast as you can raid opponent’s resources. I believe 4 builders is recommended since anything over is abit much! There are several ways you can level up your heroes fast such as:

      – Heros Arena
      – Campaign Clash
      – Guild Arena
      – Resource Raid
      – Heroes Raid

Most treasures give out EXP eggs which you can fuse together and let them collect EXP, which then you can fuse with your orange heroes.

As for the suggestions, I would keep your team as is since you’ll be able to have 5 heros by the time you’re in mid-game level. All three heroes are great for starters, I would suggest logging on everyday so you have a chance to collect gems, and get a orange hero after 28 days.

I want to ask you another question that how I use mutagen.what is its aim?

    Hello again,

I did your what you said.I I opened all the locks but nothing happen. And the other event has been occured that I choose my orange hero in the hero’s hall,I see on the screen but when I start to battle against the other players , I see previous purple heroes.I can’t change it. I am not a beginner player and I had been changed before several times with purple heroes among them. But I can’t do that with orange heroes.
At the other hand,Let’ go step by step.I have only 5 purple and 2 orange heroes in the hero’s scene. And I change 2 purple hero with orange ones in the hero’s hall.OK,no problem.İn my screen I see 2 orange and 3 purple ones.then,I want to fuse the other 2 purple heoes with orange ones.so,I choose one of the orange ones and I tap the fuse button. And then,I can’t see any purple ones in my fuse scene. So,I can’t fused my orange ones.
I know the writing take long.I apoligize for that.I want to give details for that problem for best help. Thanks for helps already.

      Hi Mustafa,

This could be because of two reasons. First would be because they’re selected in the hero’s hall or as an aid. Replace the purple hero in the hero’s hall and you’ll be able to fuse it with the orange hero. Second there may be a lock on a hero, you can unlock the hero on the top left hand corner of the hero’s avatar. Let me know if you’ve successfully fused your heros!

So I got my Blockhead up to level 120, and here’s the reuslt.
If you want to focus on offense alone, whether on resource raids or arenas, you’d want to keep the hydrasaur instead of the blockhead. However, I think that if you leveled up Blockhead’s skill up to a certain extent, it’d certainly become much more powerful.

      Hi Merrick,

Great analysis, I have a few hydrasaurs in my hero slots and wouldn’t mind giving it a go leveling it up to 100+ and testing it out. There is no objection that hydrasaur has great offensive, I always fell short in battles while in arena and campaign due to my building being destroyed. What were the passive skills and skill level of your hydrasaur compared to your blockhead?

      Thanks!

The great thing about Hydrasaur is that its healing abilities allow the heroes to attack futher in resource raids. My Hydrasaur had a lvl. 9 skill, and not that much passive skills-just the art of war lvl.3. My Blockhead, due to the lack of time invested in it, had only a lvl. 6 skill and no passive skills. The overall conclusion is that your resource raids and perhaps maybe your lords league raids benefit if you have a Hydrasaur in your party, as the flying dragons may be killed by air defense, but at the same time have the potential to destroy defenses quickly and often can be the surviving members to destroy cannons. On the other hand, YOU MUST KEEP the Blockhead for the Arena, Battle Royale( Hydrasaur may work here, actually) and Campaign.
        Conclusion: PvP: Blockhead
        Non-PvP: Hydrasaur.
Well, of course, if you have the Abyss Demon, Renee Ven, Chiron, or Pounder with Divine Bloodcap, the Hydrasaur immediately becomes uselss.

          Hey Merrick,

I couldn’t agree more to what you’ve mentioned. Hydrasaur can be very beneficial for resource raids for taking out cannons once the air defences are disabled by the ground heroes. Also I agree with PVP – blockhead and Non-PVP: Hydrasaur, most end game players are doing PVP to increase their trophies to either join a higher guild or maintain their trophy status and tend to forget non-pvp (resource raids). I’m glad you’ve written this so others can compare and try out new team techniques.

Hey, I got a Chiron and an Abyss Demon! Right now, my primary team formation is Pounder-Pan Goli-Abyss Demon-Skull Mage-Hydrasuar for Resource Raids and Lords League. And for PVP, it’s Pounder-Pan Goli-Abyss Demon-Skull Mage-Blockhead.
How do you think I should put Chiron in? What skill and/or troop levels do you recommend, if any?

          2. merrick

hey Merrick! I got an Abyss Demon and a Chiron, and leveled both of them up to 120. How do you think my team could be formed now?

    Hello,

Sometimes when im in arena or any other battle zone, the other person has a hero who doesnt die when i fully empty their health. There is some sort of wings or something above the character for about 5 seconds. I just want to know what that is and where i can get it (if i can get it). Please help because sometimes those five seconds can make the difference between winning and losing.

      Hey Quinn,

It sounds like you’re battling someone who has a pan goli for their main hero’s aid. Pan goli’s aid skill allows the hero to burst attack for 5 seconds after life. You’re right they DO make a difference between winning and losing, I have a pan goli as an aid for my main pan goli (my strongest hero) and I do end up winning close battles 90% of the time.

Hey thanks for the advice! I decided to pool my resources and invest them in Blockhead as a sub for Hydrasaur in the Hero Arena and the Campaign Clashes! I kinda gave up on trying to get Renee Ven, Abyss Demon, Chiron, or Demon Slayer, so I guess that’s the team I’m stuck with. (More due to the fact that I’m investing my jewels on my rings mostly instead of heroes now) Or…..do you think there is a “right” ratio for investing jewels? As in 7:3, 7 in rings and 3 in heroes?

      Hey Merrick,

Glad I can help, maybe level your blockhead around where your main heroes are and test out the swap between your hydrasaur and blockhead and tell me how it goes in a sense of surviablity and offense. My rule of thumb is VERY similar to yours usually it varies between 8:2 or 7:3 but I found using 5:3:2 (Rings / Hero passive skills / hire).

    how about this team:
    1. Pounder(lvl 120)
    -Merceneary level 23
    -Evolution stage: taurus
    -Skyfall:lvl 8
    2. Dark Rider (Lvl 128)
    -Mercenary level 21
    -Destruction halo lvl 5
    3. Pan Goli (lvl 125)
    -Mercenary level 24
    -Ragna Rocker lvl 9
    4. Skull Mage(lvl 120)
    -Mercenary level 24
    -Source Beam lvl 6
    5. Hydrasaur (lvl 120)
    -Mercenary level 21
    -Azure Surge 8

So my question is, is this team good enough? If I do get any of the new three( Abyss demon, Renee Ven, Chiron) or even a Demon Slayer, should I replace Dark Rider with abyss demon, chiron, or a demon slayer?
Also, who should I invest my rings in now? the DPS or the range? OR even hydrasaur? My souls too, in that case.

      Hi Merrick,

Wow thanks for taking the time to show me all the nitty gritty statistics of your whole team. I love to see how others upgrade their heroes and yours seem very balanced indeed! If you’ve seen my other comments in another post (Killer dream team) you’ll see i’m not a HUGE fan of flying units. However, it seems that your Hydrasaur seems to be one of the team star with it’s healing abilities so I won’t take that away from you!.

Your team is 90% close to what I have (Swap Hydrasaur with Blockhead), but I always recommend having two hard hitters (melee offensive) heroes in a team which you currently have one. However if you’re fine with your team I wouldn’t change anything at this stage. For DPS melee you’d want Abyss for sure, and if you get renee change her with Hydrasaur since their skills are similar in the sense of healing, but renee ‘revives’ a fallen hero by x% which is nice to have if pounder falls. Also combining with Abyss healing skills you can:

      1. Pounder Dies
      2. Use Renee’s Skill – Revives Pounder
      3. Use Abyss’s SKill – Heals Pounder based on 24% of DMG taken

For Rings, I would invest them in Pan Goli (atleast to lvl 15) and SKull mage (atleast to level 12) since skull mage’s skill powers all up wizard mercenaries (which Pan Goli has) and Pan Goli’s skill is just unbelievable and gets very overpowered every time it is leveled up. I would invest souls in getting Pan Goli and Skull mage’s mercenaries to level 25 then start leveling up Pounder’s mercenaries.

      Thanks!

      Hi Adrian,

Thanks for commenting, my dream team has not change as much but I do have a certain team for arena. Here is my recommendations:

Hero Arena/Campaign Clash – Pan Goli, Skull Mage, Pounder, Blockhead, Chiron. Put Pounder in the middle and ahead of the others, then Blockhead, then Chiron. Second row position pan goli and Skull mage in any order you like. 90% of players won’t have Chiron (I was lucky to draw him!) so use dark rider for substitution as ultimately you want two DPS (sword icon), 1 tank (shield icon), two ranged heroes (archer/magic).

Hope i’ve helped, if you want to tell me what heroes you have I can maybe assist you more on it 🙂

      Thanks,
      Kolonaios

          Hi Adrian,

Awesome team – try and replace blitz and pyro with two defense heroes (Pounder/Savage) or if you have exokid you can replace him with Pyro pete since your team mainly consist of damage dealers and not damage takers.

          Cheers!
